My Hometown(s)
These were for the My Hometown Swaps. The first is the City Building of Asheville, NC - my current hometown. The building is a masterpiece of Art Deco architecture (so say the travel brochures!) and a landmark in Asheville. This stamp is sitting in my stamp box at home, waiting for a new home ;-))
The second is Draper Building, at Berea College, in Berea KY. I grew up there, my dad taught at the college and his office was in this building. I spent many an hour roaming the halls, or lounged on the floor by his office reading - waiting for him to be done and take us home! This stamp is now planted in Berea, KY, in view of this building (thanks to the seekers!!)
This and that....
This was for the first "Found" swap. The instructions were to use found items in the building of the LTC. I used envelope insides for the background pattern. But the more important thing is what I've found while making LTCs ;-))
A simple image, and simple card, but fun to make and share.
Black on black embossing for the Insects ring. The stamp is planted in Cleveland SC, in a traditional box.
I like this card. I still have the stamp, so it may be recycled into future LTCs. Stay tuned!
Nocturnal Friends
These were a lot of fun to do. Nothing fancy.... but I had the opportunity to spread out all my LTC stuff on the table, park the kids in front of a movie and stamp away!!
These stamps were made for night boxing at the Come to the Table gather in Pickens, SC, November 2007. They have currently been (or will be soon!) replanted in the same general area of upstate SC as traditional boxes.
Catching up......
My intentions are so much better than my reality........ But I've finally scanned a bunch of my LTCs, so here goes with some posting......
These are simple LTC's, merely stamped and colored with color pencils. They were done for the every other month trading group for 2008. The stamps were then planted as traditional boxes in Asheville, NC.
